The historic campus of Texas State University provides a beautiful setting for learning about technology. Enjoy the picturesque college campus that was LBJ's alma matter. Nearby is Aquarena Springs, "Natural Aquarium of Texas." Although Ralph the Swimming Pig has retired, it still offers unique attractions -- a glass bottom boat ride, endangered species exhibits, a 9 hole golf course, a spring fed lake. Go snorkeling and river tubing. Explore San Marcos, Texas and its nationally acclaimed Prime Outlet Mall with over 115 stores or Tanger Outlet Center with over 90 stores ranging from Off Saks Fifth Avenue and Sony to Nike and Waterford/Wedgewood.

Texas State University is served by Austin-Bergstrom International Airport which is located 25 miles to the north. San Marcos is also served by an Amtrak railway station.

The Institute will begin on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. and end on Friday at 1:00 p.m. San Marcos Taxi and Shuttle (512.396.2222) has an airport shuttle serving Austins. TIDE will provide free transportation from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport if you arrive Sunday before 3:00 p.m. or leave Friday after 2:30 p.m. Contact Russ Hodges for arrangements.

We have made arrangements with the Hampton Inn and Suites or the Holiday Inn Express. Click on the link to make a reservation at either hotel.
